Ardy Wiranata (USA) beat Jurgen Koch (Austria) 15-3, 13-15 and 15-1

Women's Singles
First Round
Kara Solmundson (Canada) lost to Gong Zhichao (China) 2-11 and 3-11
Charmaine Reid (Canada) lost to Koon Wai Chee (Hong Kong) 4-11 and 3-11

Mixed Doubles
First Round
Michael Beres and Kara Solmundson (Canada) beat Eddy Clarisse and Selvon Marudanuthu (Mauritius) 15-5 and 15-8
Iain Sydie and Denyse Julien (Canada) lost to Quinten Van Dalm and Nicole Van Hooren (Netherlands) 13-15 and 12-15
