CHINESE GOLDEN GIRLS ARE NUMBER ONE August 9, 1996 (D.Shuttlenws) - China's badminton golden girls, Ge Fei and Gu Jun, cemented their hold on the world's top ranking in women's doubles with their victory at the the Atlanta Olympic Games. In the world rankings list issued yesterday by the International Badminton Federation, the first to be released since the completion of the Atlanta Olympic Games, the Chinese Olympic gold medalists continue to be ranked world number one. Silver medalists Gil Young Ah and Jang Hye Ock of South Korea remain at number two with bronze medalists Qin Yiyuan and Tang Yongshu of China holding the number three spot.
