Ann French

USBA ATHLETE ADVISORY COUNCIL USOC REPRESENTATIVE & OLYMPIC TEAM LEADER.
Ann French has been a top U.S. badminton player and an administrator since 1984. Her playing career reached its pinnacle in 1995 when she and partner Kathy Zimmerman won a bronze medal in women's doubles at the 1995 Pan American Games. Other Outstanding accomplishments for French include winning the National women's doubles title in 1990-91 with Joy Kitzmiller, and winning gold with Zimmerman at the 1995 U.S. Olympic Festival.

French is badminton's representative on the USOC's Athletes Advisory Council, as well as the USOC Legislation Committee. As team leader for the 1996 Olympic Badminton Team, Ann will speak on behalf of the athletes and assist them with all the administrative and logistical matters in Atlanta.

Ann is the sister of 1992 Olympian Linda French, and brother Marty is a former USBA president and elite player as well. Ann works as a civil engineer (traffic) in San Diego.
