Diane Cornell

USBA PRESIDENT & IBF DELEGATE
Diane Cornell, of Washington, D.C., has led the USBA since April of 1995. Prior to becoming USBA president , Cornell served as USBA vice president and secretary. She is one of the USBA's two delegates to the International Badminton Federation, has been chair of the USBA's Coaching and Legal Committees, and is a national level umpire.

Cornell is an active tournament player and is vice president of the Badminton Club of D.C. She organizes tournaments regularly in the Washington area, including the badminton competition of the Capitol Games, the state games of the District of Columbia. Cornell also organized the first U.S. BCD National Championships in 1991. She earned a B.A. from Wesleyan University in 1975 and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1981. She is an attorney and is currently Chief of a division at the Federal Communications Commission in Washington D.C.
