United States Badminton Association Changes Name

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) - As a result of a recent Board of Directors
meeting, the United States Badminton Association, national governing
body for the sport of badminton, has modified the name of the
organization to USA Badminton. The board decided to follow the lead of
other national governing bodies with the name change.

"(The name) USA Badminton conforms to what a lot of the other NGB's
have gone to," said Cliff McPeak, executive director of USA Badminton.
"We feel it is a more marketable name."

USA Badminton, with its national office on the Olympic Training Center
Complex in Colorado Springs, Colo., is a Group "A" member of the U.S.
Olympic Committee.
