HAN'S WORLD BADMINTON RANKING SOARS TO 30 IN MEN'S SINGLES

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) -- As a result of his third round
finish at the 1995 Yonex U.S. Open, Kevin Han (Palos Heights,
Ill.) has seen his world badminton ranking jump from 49th to
30th in the world in men's singles.  He is currently the highest
ranked U.S. player in the world.  

Han, 23, is now playing badminton professionally for the Aura
Badminton Club in Malma, Sweden.  He will do so until the Olympic
qualifying period ends in April, 1996.
