Club Status

Membership

The current season begins on Sept 19, 2011 and ends on May 30, 2012.

The club operates every Monday and Wednesday evening from 19:00 to 22:00, except when the school is closed.

The membership cost is $110 per member.

The guest fee is $5 for an evening of play. In addition, a one-time insurance fee of $3 is required for the season.

Guests will be eligible to play if there are fewer than 33 members playing. If a 33rd member arrives, a guest will be asked to leave and will receive a full refund.

About Our Club

The Hillcrest Badminton Club has been operating in Ottawa for over 30 years. We provide a friendly environment for exercise and competition for players of various ages and skill levels.

Play is on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 19:00 to 22:00. All games are doubles, unless numbers permit otherwise. A game wheel is used to ensure that everyone has a fair share of court time and to vary the pairings from game to game. We supply the yellow Yonex Mavis 300 brand of shuttle.

We use the 21-point scoring system.

Club Location

We use the well-lit 4-court gym at Hillcrest High School, 1900 Dauphin Road.

The school is in the south-east corner of Ottawa, just off of Smyth Road.

Parking is on the north side of Hillcrest High School, facing Smyth road.

We play in the upper, large gymnasium. Use the main entrance of the school, facing Dauphin.
